Are you an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant still on the lookout for the perfect part-time role in January?

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a proactive Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive primary school in Redditch, working in their Reception class on a 1:1 support basis. This part-time position is set to begin in January until the end of the academic year.

You will be working every afternoon, from 12:30 - 3:30 pm, with a child in Reception with ASC. Suitable candidates will have a good understanding of the Early Years curriculum, and be experienced in 1:1 support roles, and Autism. 

Key Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Support a reception child with his learning, in the afternoons only.
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS/ KS1 framework
  • Promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and wider team.

Essential Requirements to work as a Teaching Assistant:
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Early Years practitioner in a UK school or nursery setting
  • A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS/KS1 curriculum
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months
  • Two strong references that confirm your experience in a similar role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based at a primary school in Redditch, easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Bromsgrove, Feckenham, and Alvechurch. Onsite parking is available for those who drive, and the school is well served by public transport.
