Flourish Education are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at an OFSTED rated ‘good’ primary school in Tewkebury. The school are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child in Reception in September.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would be someone who has worked in an Early Years setting, and has previous experience of supporting pupils with SEN. You will have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum, and work to support the Reception pupil in achieving any targets outlined in their Individual Education Plan. The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is willing to commit to a long-term position, to ensure consistency for the child and their family.
The Reception team work closely with Nursery and the children benefit from a free-flow environment. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will actively seek opportunities to develop and extend learning through play. We are looking for a kind and caring SEN Teaching Assistant who has a proven track record of building supportive relationships with pupils and families, and who will work well as part of the EYFS team.
This is a full-time role to start in September, and will potentially continue until the child requiring support finishes their Primary Education.
Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
- Secure knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Experience of working with children with SEN
- Committed to a long-term post (this could potentially be a long-term role until the child finishes at primary school)
