The school are looking for numerous candidates to join their school as a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be working with children aged 8 to 19 in an alternative provision school for children with additional needs. They are looking for both full time and part time for the full academic year.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will include:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Assist with classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Support students during Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) lessons.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Promote social and emotional development through targeted interventions.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant Role:
- Previous UK school experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Relevant qualifications, ideally Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
