This SEN Teaching Assistant role will be full time in an alternative provision school however, the mornings will be to work with a child in Year 5, and the afternoons will be to work in a child in Year 7. Both pupils, have autism, moderate leaning difficulties, and demand avoidance. This will start in September for the full academic year.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will include:
- Provide one-on-one to students with special educational needs
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
- Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to staff and parents
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with the SEN team to develop effective strategies
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant Role:
- Previous UK school experience is essential
- Experience with the National Curriculum, Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and EYFS
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passionate about providing exceptional support to children with SEN
