SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Flourish Education is seeking dedicated, flexible and proactive SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worcester. This lovely school has a high level of SEN needs and prides itself on providing a nurturing, supportive environment where every child can thrive.

In this role, you will work within the school’s dedicated SEN base, supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD/ASC), ADHD, behavioural needs, non-verbal communication, and physical disabilities. You will work closely with the class teacher, other support assistants, and SEN base teachers to ensure that each child receives the tailored support they need to reach their full potential.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Previous SEND experience, working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references

• Competitive Salary – between £88-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,339.400-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
