Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Worcester on a part-time 2 day basis from November. This role is to work within their Reception class, supporting a child on a 1:1 basis.

This SEN support role is every Friday, starting after the October half-term until Easter initially, with a potential to extend to 3 days per week.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering targeted SEN support, helping children access learning and reach their full potential. This TA position is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion and seeking a rewarding role with a good work life balance.


Job Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support within the school’s Reception class for a child with Autism and behavioural needs
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning to individual pupil needs
  • Promote inclusion and engagement within the classroom and across the school
  • Support emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement
  • Encourage independence and progress across Key Stage 1

Required Skills and Experience for SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
  • Experience supporting children across Key Stage 1 in a UK Primary School
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Early Years
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Previous UK school experience is essential

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

This TA role is based in Worcester and is easily commutable from Droitwich Spa, Malvern, St John’s, Warndon, Fernhill Heath, and Kempsey. The Primary School offers onsite parking and has accessible transport links to surrounding areas.
