Are you an experienced and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity?

A welcoming and inclusive Primary school in Worcester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time after Easter, until July, supporting a Year 2 student with additional needs.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role classroom-based, providing consistent, patient, and tailored support to help them access learning and feel secure within the school environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team to ensure the child’s needs are met and that learning is accessible for all pupils.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 2, with additional needs

  • Supporting communication, engagement, and access to learning using appropriate strategies.

  • Assisting with transitions and daily routines.

  • Promoting a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCo.


To be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs.

  • Experience supporting pupils with moderate behavioural needs.

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A proactive and reliable attitude.
