Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a SENCO to work in a local partnership Primary School in the Stourbridge area. The school is a two-form entry primary school and is ‘Good’ rated. Their main aims are to establish, nurture and grow life-long learners.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated SENCO to join the team. Responsibilities will include, provide leadership in SEND provision, implement SEND policies and procedures, to write and integrate EHCP objectives into the curriculum, to manage SEND Teachers and Teaching Assistants, chair meetings and reviews for pupils.

This role would be a 3 day a week position, with the school being flexible on the days, this would be fixed cover for 12 months, starting ASAP, and ongoing for the next 12 months.

For this SENCO role, You will:

  • Hold a relevant Teaching qualification (QTS – Qualified Teaching Status).
  • Hold a valid SENCO qualification and/or previous experience as a SENCO.
  • Liase with external agencies to support pupil needs.
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding pupil support.
  • Write action plans, EHCPs for individual children.
  • Build strong relationships with the pupil, parents, and staff.
  • Manage a team of staff.
  • Chair meetings and pupil reviews.
  • Implement SEN policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff.
  • Commitment to the role.

The SENCO role is within a school in the Stourbridge area. The school has on-site parking and available parking on the road outside school. It is easily commutable from Kingswinford, Brierley Hill, Wordsley, Cradley Heath, Dudley, Rowley Regis, Hagley and Halesowen. If you are travelling by bus, there are excellent transportation links.
