Job Description

Flourish Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and dynamic SEN Hub within a primary school in the Darlaston area. This full-time, long-term role offers a competitive day rate of £85.02 - £120 and is due to start in January 2025, continuing through to July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a HLTA with a passion for working with children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, non-verbal pupils, and more.

The successful HLTA will be based in a specialist SEN Hub, supporting a small group of 10 children with Special Educational Needs. You will work alongside a skilled team of staff, providing targeted support, managing challenging behaviours, and delivering tailored interventions to meet each child’s individual needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing and inclusive setting and is looking to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.

Required skills and experience for this Higher-level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role:

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils, including Autism, ADHD, non-verbal children, and those with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Minimum Level 3 TA Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a UK primary school setting.
  • Positive references from recent employers or school placements.
