Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher looking for a full-time role in a supportive Primary School? Flourish Education are working with a local school in Aston, Birmingham that wants to appoint a teacher on a temporary-to-permanent basis to work within their SEND classroom.
This position is starting in September 2025 and will initially be temporary, with the view to become permanent for the 2025/26 academic year.

The class consists of 18 children with a mix of very high SEND needs and 8 support staff. You will be working alongside a supportive SENCO and Assistant SENCO, and are expected to work collaboratively with SLT and support staff to deliver a high-quality learning experience.

As a SEND Teacher, you will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to children from Nursery up to Year 6.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet complex and individual learning needs.
- Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and external agencies.
- Mark and assess work, write reports, and attend parents’ evenings.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to wider school planning.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour and learning outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Significant experience working with SEND, particularly with high and complex needs.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to differentiate teaching for a variety of learners.
- Experience in a Resource Base or SEND school setting is desirable.
Key Challenges and Priorities:
- The class presents extremely high needs, with several pupils who ideally would be placed in a specialist SEND setting.
Working as a SEND Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you:
- £162.31 to £223.63 per day, equating to £31,650 to £43,607 per annum based on a full school year
