Job Description

Flourish Education is currently recruiting a SEND Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis to work in the Coventry area.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher to work across a Primary School, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the EYFS and primary curriculum and will be able to plan, adapt and deliver engaging, accessible learning activities that meet individual needs. The role will involve assessing and monitoring pupil progress, writing and reviewing individual support plans, and working closely with class teachers, teaching assistants and external professionals.

This role is due to start as soon as possible and involves working four days per week, supporting ten children across Reception to Year 6. You will take a lead role within the primary school’s enhanced provision, supporting children with complex needs. There may also be some involvement in adapting planning, which will be discussed with the headteacher.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teacher role:
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  •  Experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally in EYFS and/or KS1
  • Knowledge of a range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs to reach their full potential
  • Excellent behaviour management and inclusive classroom practice
  • Ability to plan, adapt and deliver differentiated lessons and interventions
  • Experience of assessment, tracking and reviewing progress against individual targets
  • Ability to create a calm, supportive and positive learning environment
  • Ability to work effectively alongside teaching assistants, SENCOs and external agencies

Working for Flourish Education as a SEND Teacher you will receive:
  • £168.80 day rate to £232.57 day rate which equates to £32,916 per annum to £45,351 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
