Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role?

A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Kidderminster is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from September until the end of the Autumn Term initially, with the potential for the role to continue.

This role is ideal for an experienced SEND Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning for pupils with a range of complex needs. You will be teaching a small class of six Key Stage Two pupils, providing tailored support to help each child achieve their individual learning and developmental goals.

The school is looking for a nurturing and adaptable teacher with previous SEN teaching experience who can create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

As a SEND Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing learning, whilst working closely with support staff and the wider SEND team to meet the needs of all pupils.

As a SEND Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering personalised lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with complex SEND.

• Teaching and supporting a class of six KS2 pupils.

• Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

• Adapting learning activities and resources to ensure accessibility for all pupils.

• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress against individual targets.

• Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and communication development.

• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENDCOs, parents, and external agencies.

• Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans effectively.

• Promoting pupil independence, confidence, and wellbeing.

To be successful in this SEND Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Experience working with children with complex needs.

• A strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
