SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you a SEND teaching assistant looking to make a positive difference within the classroom. We are currently recruiting for a SEND TA for one of our schools in the Selly Oak area, they require someone on a full-term basis starting in December to complete the full academic year (December 2025-July 2026).

The school would be seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to take on responsibilities including supporting a pupil in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis, within the school’s dedicated SEND hub or classroom.

The Required Skills and experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working in a Primary School/SEND school.
  • Passionate about providing a high level of SEND support.

This SEND Teaching Assistant position is in Harborne, easily commutable from Quinton, Halesowen, Bearwood, Bartley Green, Edgbaston, and Selly Oak. The school is well connected by public transport and offers onsite parking.
