Job Description

We are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant role to work in the Edgbaston area in a 2 form entry Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work with a child on a 1:1 basis with challenging behaviour and autism.

Additional qualifications around SEND is desirable. 

This role will start in January 2026 and continue to July 2026 full-time (8:30am-15:30pm).

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

  • Competitive Salary – between £88.92-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,940-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

Our client is based in Edgbaston and offer on-site car parking.
