Job Description

We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in the Great Barr area in a 2-form entry primary school. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 4 with Autism and challenging behaviour.

The school is seeking a candidate with experience supporting children with Autism and managing challenging behaviour. Any additional qualifications or training related to SEND would be highly desirable.

This role will start in April 2026 and continue to July 2026 full-time (8:30am-15:30pm).

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
