Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 4 at a Primary School in the Weoley Castle area. This is a full-time role starting in September and is expected to continue on a long-term basis depending on the successful candidate.
 
The school is looking for a strong and consistent Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, provide stability and support the pupil both academically and emotionally within the classroom environment.
 
This role would suit someone who is firm, patient and nurturing, with the ability to quickly establish trust and maintain clear boundaries while creating a supportive learning environment.
 
Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
 
· Providing dedicated 1:1 support within a Year 4 classroom
· Supporting the pupil’s engagement, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
· Building a positive and professional relationship with the pupil
· Working closely with the class teacher and wider support staff
· Helping to create a calm, consistent and supportive learning environment
· Following the school’s policies and procedures
 
Required Skills and Experience:
 
· Experience working within a Primary School setting
· Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis is desirable
· Strong behaviour management and communication skills
· Calm, patient and nurturing approach
· Ability to build positive relationships and provide consistency
· Reliable, resilient and proactive attitude
