We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, Ofsted-rated GOOD Primary School in Coventry. This role is due to start as soon as possible in January until the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.
This SEN Teaching Assistant job role:
- Support students with SEN across the National Curriculum, including Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Assist in Reception and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classes where needed.
- Provide tailored support to individual pupils, promoting their educational and social development.
- Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and learning activities.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Help maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role
- Previous experience in a UK school is essential.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience working in KS1, KS2, and EYFS.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
- A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
