Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, Ofsted-rated GOOD Primary School in Coventry. This is a unique opportunity to work with a supportive team, helping students with special educational needs achieve their potential, specifically Autism, ADHD and behavioural difficulties. This role is due to start as soon as possible in January until the end of the academic year on a full-time basis.


This SEN Teaching Assistant job role:

  • Support students with SEN across the National Curriculum, including Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Assist in Reception and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classes where needed.
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils, promoting their educational and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and learning activities.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Help maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role

  • Previous experience in a UK school is essential.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience working in KS1, KS2, and EYFS.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant role with Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including

  • £85.02 to £95 a day, which equates to £16,578.90 to £18,525 per annum, based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

This position is in Coventry, easily commutable from Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Bedworth, Nuneaton, Warwick, Holbrooks, Edgwick, Binley, Daimler Green, Whoberley, Tile Hill and Willenhall. The school is a well-regarded Primary School with excellent transport links and onsite parking for staff.
