Job Description

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a Primary School? We are recruiting for a SEND TA for one of our partner schools in Coventry, they require someone on a full-time basis, starting in September.

This role is to support a child in Reception on a 1:1 with complex needs. The child will be supported both in class and in the school’s resource base.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting a child 1:1
  • Provide general classroom support alongside the class teacher if required
  • Assist with learning activities, behaviour support and engagement
  • Promote inclusion and positive relationships
  • Liaise with SENCO and outside agencies where necessary
  • Follow the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
Required Skills and Experience as Teaching Assistant:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working in a Primary School / Nursery School setting
  • Passionate about providing a high level of SEND support
