Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a local partnership school in Dudley. Th school is a large school and is committed to ensuring that pupil value education and become life-long learners and do this by ensuring all children reach their maximum potential by cherishing all children.

Our client is looking to appoint a Teaching assistant to work with a child on a 1-1 basis, this child has needs including speech and language disorder and autism. The school has SEND provision including a SEND hub within the school. Your responsibilities will be supporting a child on a 1-1 basis, with autism and speech and language disorder, this would be both inside of the classroom and within the hub, you will be working to an EHCP plan and reporting back to the SEND teacher, within the hub and the SENCo on progress made.

This role would be a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, right until the end of July, with potential to be extended into the next academic year .

Required skills and experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 or above in a relevant Teaching Assistant (TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/ Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND on a 1-1 or small group basis.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools in the UK.
  • To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the Class Teacher.

This Teaching Assistant role is based at a school in Dudley which is easily accessible from Cradley Heath, Rowley Regis, Oldbury, West Bromwich, Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Wombouorne, Bilston and Wednesbury. Onsite parking is available, but the school is easily accessed via Public Transport.
