The school is seeking to employ a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the staff team starting in September on a full-time, long-term basis. The responsibilities would be to work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with SEND, the children have a range of needs including ASD, ADHD and this includes children with diagnosed and undiagnosed needs.
Job Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, including ASD and ADHD, both diagnosed and undiagnosed needs.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Support the class teacher in delivering the national curriculum, particularly within the EYFS and Reception classes.
- To foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and record pupils progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the students.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a UK primary school is essential.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 in the relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Experience with SEND, particularly ASD and ADHD, both diagnosed and undiagnosed needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
