SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" Primary School in Hereford. This role is perfect for an experienced TA who is looking to make a real difference by supporting children with SEND across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Assisting in classrooms across the Primary School age range, from Early Years (EYFS) to Key Stage 2.
  • Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering the National Curriculum.
  • Helping to create an inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and fostering social development.
  • Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all pupils in your care.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Previous experience in a UK Primary School setting.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective classroom support strategies.
  • A proactive and patient approach to working with young learners.

Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you other excellent benefits, including:
