SEND Teaching assistant

Job Description

We are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant role to work in the Kingswinford area in a 1-form entry “GOOD” OFSTED rated Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work in a SEND hub which is predominantly made up of pupils with Autism need.
Although this is not a 1:1 role, there would be an expectation to support pupils as required. The class is made up of 12 pupils with complex needs and 4 support staff. You will be working alongside a supportive teacher and SENCO, so it is essential to work collaboratively with SLT and support staff.
This role will start in September 2025 and continue to July 2026 full-time (8:30am-15:30pm).
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
