Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a passionate and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join a small, mixed form entry village primary school near Warwick. The school is proud of its strong community spirit and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every child and family feels valued and included.
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 4 with complex needs. The role will involve building a supportive and trusting relationship, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, and encouraging the child’s social, emotional, and academic development.
The ideal candidate will have patience, empathy, and previous experience of working with children with additional needs. A good understanding of strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive engagement would be highly beneficial.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant role:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification
  • Ability to liaise with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other agencies to meet the needs of the pupils.
  • Build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and SEMH.
  • Experience within UK primary schools.
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children.
  • Deliver interventions
Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including:
