SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant at an OFSTED rated GOOD school in Northfield. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have a positive and inclusive learning experience. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for helping children succeed in a Primary School setting.

Job Role:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and deliver the National Curriculum.
  • Support students in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and EYFS.
  • Manage and support children with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous UK school experience is essential.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of SEND, Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage and support children in a Primary School setting.
