Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A warm and welcoming primary school in Oldbury is currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has complex behavioural needs. This role is to work in their SEN hub on a part-time basis, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

This SEN Teaching Assistant position would be perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible, pupil-focused role and who has a genuine interest in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure consistent and effective support is provided throughout the school day.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification (essential)
  • Proven SEN experience, ideally working on a 1:1 basis
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
  • Two strong, recent references that support your experience as a Teaching Assistant
