Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a local partnership school in Quinton, Birmingham. This school is focused on working together and ensuring all children achieve their potential, empowering them and staff through their values. This school is Good rated and was recently inspected.

Our client is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child who has Autism on a 1-1 basis in Key Stage 1. Responsibilities will include supporting a child who has Autism, delivering small group interventions, and working closely with the class teacher to support the child in achieving their learning goals.

This SEND Teaching Assistant vacancy is a full-time position working Monday to Friday starting after May Half-term and will continue until the end of the Academic Year.

Required skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 or above in a relevant Teaching Assistant (TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/ Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND (preferred if you have experience working with children with autism)
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools (preferred if you have previously worked in KS1 or EYFS)
  • To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the Class Teacher.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is based at a school in Quinton which is easily accessible from Bartley Green, Woodgate, Harborne, Halesowen, Shenley Fields, Selly Oak and Bournville. Onsite parking is available, but the school is easily accessed via Public Transport.
