Job Description

Flourish Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a village primary school in Ross-on-Wye. The school are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child with an EHCP for ASD in year 4.

This ideal candidate will have a kind and caring nature and previous experience of working with children with SEN. This exciting role offers a long-term, part-time position for the remainder of the academic year, with a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a supportive learning environment.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1-1 support to a Year 4 child with ASD on an EHCP.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor and report on progress.
  • Supporting the child within the classroom environment to encourage engagement and development.
  • Demonstrating commitment to a long-term role, ensuring stability for the child.
  • Adhering to the school's safeguarding policies and fostering a safe, inclusive atmosphere.

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has:

  • Previous UK school experience.
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • A patient, empathetic approach and a commitment to fostering student development.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you other excellent benefits, including:

  • £85.02 - £98.41 day rate, equating to £16,578.90 - £19,189.95 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
