Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a local partnership school in Rednal, Birmingham. This school is focused on working together and ensuring all children achieve their potential, empowering them and staff through their values. This school is Good rated and was recently inspected.

Our client is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support children who have SEND in EYFS and Key Stage 1. Responsibilities will include supporting children with a range of needs including Autism and ADHD, delivering small group interventions, and working closely with the class teacher to support the children to achieve their learning goals.

This Teaching Assistant vacancy is a part-time position working 3 days a week starting in September and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year.

Required skills and experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 or above in a relevant Teaching Assistant (TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/ Learning Support Practitioner (LSP) qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools (preferred if you have previously worked in KS1 or EYFS)
  • To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the Class Teacher.

This TA role is based at a school in Rednal which is easily accessible from Frankley, Rubery, Cofton Hackett, Lickey, Longbridge and Northfield. Onsite parking is available, but the school is easily accessed via Public Transport.
