As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in preparing the classroom and lesson materials.
  • Assist children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Manage behaviour within the class and create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide tailored support to children across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years (EYFS).
  • Encourage pupils' engagement and ensure they meet their individual learning goals.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere within the Primary School setting.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous UK school experience is essential.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Experience working with SEND students, including Autism, ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support the Class Teacher and pupils.
