Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work mornings only at a local school near Stratford-upon-Avon. Our client is looking for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team.

The school is looking for a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team to provide support to a child with complex SEN in Year 1. The child has global delay and is non-verbal.

The responsibilities of this SEND Teaching Assistant role will include encouraging the child’s learning and development, delivering interventions, working closely in partnership with another TA to support the child, delivering personal care and working closely with the SENDCo.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is due to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is mornings only, 8:30am – 11am.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant role:

  • Minimum Level 2 Qualification
  • UK school experience
  • Ability to liaise with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other agencies to meet the needs of the pupil.
  • Build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Experience within KS1.
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the child.
  • Provide personal care.

  • A competitive salary of £85.02 - £100 per day which equates to £16,578.9 -£19,500 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role is based near Stratford-Upon-Avon, which is easily accessible from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Wellesbourne, Kineton, Snitterfield, Claverdon, Shipston-on-Stour, Atherstone-on-Stour and Banbury.
