We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a one-form entry, "Good" Ofsted-rated primary school in Tamworth.
This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception who has an EHCP and displays challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, implement effective behaviour management strategies, and provide consistent, tailored support to meet the child's individual needs.
The position is full-time, starting in September 2026 and continuing until December 2026, with the potential to be extended for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Required Skills and Experience
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you must:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
- Have good knowledge and experience of working with SEND.
- Have experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or have one issued within the last 12 months.
- Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent references.
- Have recent UK school experience.
