Job Description

Flourish Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school near Walsall. This role is based within the school’s specialist SEN Hub, supporting children with diverse needs, including Autism, challenging behaviours, and significant learning difficulties.

The position involves working both one-to-one and with small groups, helping pupils engage meaningfully with their learning while supporting their social, emotional, and behavioural development.

The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Staff collaborate closely to maintain high standards of teaching and care, with a leadership team committed to supporting both pupils and staff.

They are looking for a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills someone able to build positive relationships with pupils and work alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored strategies that make a real difference.

This role is due to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. 

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare/teaching support
  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Experience working in Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • UK school-based experience
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant (LSA) you will receive:
  • Competitive Salary – Up to £90 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,550 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
