Job Description

Flourish Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a busy and inclusive college in Coventry, supporting students in further education with complex needs.
The college provides a supportive and inspiring environment where staff work collaboratively to help every learner achieve their full potential and are looking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. Students have a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication or sensory difficulties, and benefit from a highly nurturing approach that promotes independence and confidence.
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and reliable individual to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping learners to access the curriculum, develop life skills, and engage fully in college life.
This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible ongoing until the end of the school year.
Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant role:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification
  • Ability to liaise with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other agencies to meet the needs of the pupils.
  • Build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • Experience within secondary and further education.
