Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Coventry, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment where staff work closely together to help every child build confidence, independence and a love of learning. Pupils have a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication and sensory difficulties, and benefit from individualised support tailored to their needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access the curriculum, develop their social and emotional skills and engage positively in school life.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENDCO and wider school team.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional and complex needs.

About You
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification – essential.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
  • Previous experience working within a Primary School setting.
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team.

Working for Flourish Education
  • £92.56 – £100 per day (£18,049.20 per annum based on 5 days per week).
