As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans for children with SEND.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with children, focusing on Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviour while promoting positive development.
- Use your knowledge of the National Curriculum across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Assist with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) interventions where required.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment within the primary school.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
- Have previous experience in a UK school, ideally supporting SEND pupils.
- Be familiar working with children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and Challenging Behaviour.
- Understand the National Curriculum and adapt to Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), or EYFS settings.
