Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Willenhall. This position is to work 1:1 with a child in Year 5 who has Autism and displays challenging behaviour. The role is available to start immediately and will continue on a long-term, ongoing basis.
The successful candidate will support the pupil in managing their emotions, developing social and communication skills, and engaging positively in learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored support plans, encourage positive behaviour, and help the child make steady academic and personal progress.

We are looking for a patient, resilient, and nurturing Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly Autism and behaviour challenges.
Working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

Experience working 1:1 with pupils with Autism or challenging behaviour

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Experience within a primary school setting

A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months

A minimum of two recent, excellent references
