SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a two-form-entry, “GOOD” Ofsted-rated primary school in Wolverhampton.

This role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD and behaviours that may challenge. The school is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, implement effective behaviour strategies, and deliver consistent, tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs.

The position is part-time, starting in October 2026 and continuing until December 2026, with the potential for this to be extended. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Required Skills and Experience

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you must:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have good knowledge and experience of working with SEND.
  • Have experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service or have one issued within the last 12 months.
  • Provide a minimum of two excellent references.
  • Have recent UK school experience.
