Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role within a school with a Good Ofsted rating in Worcester?

 

This SEN Teaching Assistant involves working with a child in a Year 2 class on a 1:1 basis, supporting learning in the classroom. The position requires the successful candidate to support a child with physical disability and is wheelchair based. The ideal candidate will have a patient approach to learning, and prior experience working with children with additional needs.

 

This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible on a long-term basis.

 

Job Role:

Work on a one to one basis to provide tailored learning and behaviour support as well as supporting the child's physical needs.

Assist in planning and implementing activities aligned with the National Curriculum.

Support teachers in maintaining classroom discipline and excellent behaviour management.

Provide additional help during Key Stage 1 (KS1) lessons.

Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting.

Ability to provide one-to-one support for students with special educational needs.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential.

Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching methods for Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Exceptional behaviour management skills and a proactive attitude.

Passion for working with children with additional learning needs.

 

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

£85 - £100 per day, which equates to £16,575 to £19,500 per annum based on working full time for a full school year.
