SENDCO Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a SENDCO Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school near Castle Bromwich to join their staff team. They understand the importance of staff wellbeing and provide appropriate practical support where necessary.

Our client wants to appoint a dedicated SENDCO Assistant to provide support to the school’s SENDCO. Responsibilities include supporting with admin, planning, completing paperwork, uploading information onto BROMCOM and conducting out of class targeted interventions with children with SEN.

This SENDCO Assistant role is to start ASAP and will be on going. This position is part time, the school are open to days and timings.

Required Skills and Experience for this SENDCO Assistant role:
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of SEND provision and experience working with EHCPs
  • Supporting with admin, planning, completing paperwork and uploading information onto BROMCOM
  • Conducting out of class targeted interventions with children with SEN.
  • Support the SENDCO in the management and delivery of SEND provision across the school
  • Strong interpersonal skills with parents, pupils, staff and other agencies
  • Liaise with external agencies to support pupil’s needs
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding pupil support
  • Build strong relationships with the pupils, parents and staff
  • Commitment to the role

Working for Flourish Education as a SENDCO Assistant you will receive:
  • Up to £120 day rate which equates to up to £23,400 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This SENDCO Assistant opportunity is located in Castle Bromwich, which is easily commutable from Bordesley Green, Small Heath, Nechells, Ward End, Sparkbrook, Aston, Stechford, Yardley, Erdington and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
