Job Description
Flourish Education is seeking an experienced and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming Secondary School in Kidderminster, proudly rated GOOD by OFSTED. This role offers excellent flexibility, with both day-to-day supply and longer-term placements available, making it ideal for a confident Cover Supervisor looking for varied and rewarding work.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
To be considered, you must have proven experience working as a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school setting. The role is available for an immediate start, with opportunities for both short-term and ongoing placements that may extend into the next academic year, including September.

Job Role:
• Supervise pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Ensure a positive and productive learning environment
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Support students with their learning and respond to questions where appropriate
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the Secondary School
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a Secondary School
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good understanding of the secondary curriculum (KS3 and KS4)
• Confident delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
