Flourish Education is currently recruiting Flexible Supply Teachers to support a range of primary and nursery schools in and around Stourbridge. This role is ideal for teachers seeking a better work/life balance, those returning to teaching, or individuals looking to balance their passion for education with other personal or professional commitments.

Working as a supply teacher with Flourish Education gives you the freedom to choose when and where you work, with opportunities available across a variety of school settings and across all primary key stages.

Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to gain experience across different schools, year groups and key stages.


As a Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver engaging lessons using pre-prepared plans provided by the school
  • Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Planning and marking work to ensure students’ academic progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities

  • Provide feedback to school staff at the end of the day

  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times


Required Skills and experience needed for this Supply Teacher role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in Primary Education, across Early Years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • A passion for creating stimulating and engaging learning experiences.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.

  • Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
