Job Description

 Are you a current supply teacher or teacher looking to go into supply teaching in the local Walsall area? Are you looking for greater work-life-balance and flexible working? Flourish work with a high number of schools in the local Walsall area, offering you local roles in a variety of settings. In terms of supply, your working hours would be 08:30 – 15:30 on either a part-time or full-time basis around your availability.

Key supply teacher responsibilities:

  • Class teaching in the short-term absence of the class teacher
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, ensuring the engagement of children
  • Delivery of pre-planned lessons and activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children

As a supply teacher you would need the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (or UK equivalent)
  • Prior experience working in a school
  • A minimum of two references and a professional character reference
  • Proven knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the update system – or willingness to obtain one
