Flourish Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Rowley RegisHand, to recruit exclusively for a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to support a child within a reception class setting. The child has a medical history and will need someone who is dedicated to him throughout the school day. He does not have any additional SEND needs

The child is meeting his learning goals and is a popular member of the class.

The ideal person would have a caring and empathetic nature and be familiar with the EYFS curriculum. As the child has some medical restrictions some time away from the class setting may be needed at times however this is kept to a minimum. Someone with a medical background would be desired however this is not a requirement for the role.

This Teaching Assistant role is to work with a child in a reception class setting

The role is required to start ASAP

To apply to this Teaching Assistant role, you will need the following

• Relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
• At least 1 year of experience as a Teaching assistant within Primary Schools
• Experience of working on a 1:1 basis
• A good reference from your most recent school
• Good behaviour management

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant role

• To support a child with medical needs within a reception class setting
• Support the learning of the pupil
• To effectively manage the behaviour and routines of the child
• Encourage the child’s development and improve their access to the curriculum
