Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a local partnership school in Kings Norton. This school is focused on preparing children for life and invests time in supporting staff and parents alike to ensure child development is a main priority.

Our client is looking to appoint a TA to work in a Year 2 class. Responsibilities will include supporting the class teacher, working alongside other TA’s in the class, providing 1:1 SEND support, carrying out small group interventions and assisting with the preparation of resources.

This Teaching Assistant vacancy is a full-time position working Monday to Friday starting after Easter and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year.

Required skills and experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Level 2 or above in a relevant Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a TA in Primary Schools
  • Confident working 1:1 and with small groups of children.
  • To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the class teachers
  • Previous experience supporting students with SEND

This Teaching Assistant role is based at a school in Kings Norton which is easily accessible from Bournville, Northfield, Cotteridge, and Hawkesley. Onsite parking is available, but the school is easily accessed via bus.
