Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a local partnership Primary School in Rednal. This role would be to work on a long-term basis, starting in September and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Our client is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support in a whole class setting. Responsibilities will include, supporting the class teacher, preparing resources, performing small group interventions, and managing the behaviour of the pupils within the classroom.

Our client is currently undecided on the year group and are happy to play to the ideal candidates’ strengths.

This Teaching Assistant vacancy is a full-time position working Monday to Friday starting in September and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year.

This Teaching Assistant role involves:

  • Building trusting relationships with the pupils
  • Ensuring the safety of the children in the class
  • Contributing to a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher.
  • Potentially conduct small group work when needed.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • To hold the minimum of a Level 2 qualification.
  • Good curriculum knowledge of either, Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Experience working in Primary Schools in the UK.
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references.
