Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work in a year 3 class in a school based in Lozells. This role is to start in September and continue until July 2025. The school are a warm and welcoming 2-form entry primary school that requires a classroom assistant to support the teacher (Early career teacher) and Year 3 class.

The role requires 1:1 intervention for core subjects and small group work for reading and foundation subjects.

The Teaching Assistant role:

  • Building trusting relationships with the pupils
  • Ensure the safety of the children in the class
  • Working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment
  • Potentially conduct small group work when needed

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good curriculum knowledge of KS2
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

  • Competitive Salary – between £85-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £16,578.90-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
