Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Primary school near Sparkbrook to join their support staff team on a long-term basis. The school is a larger than average mainstream primary school that invest in their staff. They understand the importance of staff wellbeing and provide appropriate practical support where necessary.

Our client wants to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work in Year 3 who is nurturing and has a good knowledge of the curriculum. Responsibilities in this role will include conducting small group work, providing support to the class teacher and showing a high standard of modelling. You may need to support children with SEND within the class too.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full-time. The hours for this school are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working in KS2
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
  • Provide an engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher
  • Conduct interventions and small group work when needed
  • Commitment to the role
  • Support children with SEND when needed
Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive:
  • £88.92 day rate to £100 day rate which equates to £17,340 per annum to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located near Sparkbrook which is easily commutable from Alum Rock, Small Heath, Ward End, Stechford, Yardley, Balsall Heath, Moseley and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
