Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Harborne area. This position is a full time Year 1 Teaching Assistant role that is expected to start immediately to continue until July 2026.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to children with complex needs
  • Support with visuals, objects of reference and sensory exploration
  • Implement learning activities designed by the SENCO
  • Monitor and report progress
  • Follow bespoke timetables and deliver structured activities
  • Assisting with personal care
 
Required Skills and Experience as Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, 1:1 SEND TA, or Learning Support Assistant
  • Experience working in UK Primary School settings
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Confidence using sensory strategies and visual aids
  • Understanding of EYFS and Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum
