Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Moseley to join their staff on a long-term basis.

Our client wants to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work with children with complex special educational needs. The children are in Reception. Responsibilities in this role include supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, catering to individual needs and personal care may be required.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and is ongoing on a long term basis. The position is full time 08:30-15:30.

Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Experience working in schools in the UK
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
  • Motivating and encouraging the children
  • Supporting with learning and development
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and other staff
  • Giving feedback to parents
  • Commitment to the role
  • Being flexible when needed
  • Personal care may be required
Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive:
  • £92.56 day rate to £100 day rate which equates to £18,049 per annum to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Moseley which is easily commutable from Tyseley, Sellyoak, Cotteridge, Shirley, Kings Heath, Balsall Heath, Bordesley Green and most areas of Birmingham and Solihull via car, bus and train.
