Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Hall Green area. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The role will involve providing general classroom support, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils access learning and make progress. The school is looking for a reliable, proactive and supportive Teaching Assistant who can adapt to the needs of the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
· Providing general classroom support to pupils
· Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis where required
· Helping children access learning and classroom activities
· Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
· Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
· Supporting with classroom routines and activities
· Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
Required Skills and Experience:
· Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
· Experience working within a UK Primary School setting
· Previous Teaching Assistant experience
· Good understanding of the Primary curriculum
· A calm, patient and supportive approach
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
· Flexible and adaptable approach
